-
What services do you offer? We offer a range of moving services, including residential and commercial moves, local and long-distance moving, packing and unpacking, loading and unloading, as well as furniture assembly and disassembly.
-
How do I get an estimate for my move? You can get a free estimate by either calling us directly or filling out the quote form on our website. We’ll need details about your move, such as the size of your home, the distance, and any special items that require extra care.
-
Do you provide packing materials?Yes, we offer packing materials at an extra cost, such as boxes & bubble wrap & tape. If you need help packing, we also provide full packing services to ensure your items are safely secured for the move.
-
How far in advance do I need to book my move?We recommend booking your move as soon as possible to secure your preferred date, especially during peak seasons like summer and weekends. Ideally, scheduling 2-4 weeks in advance gives you the best availability. However, if you need a last-minute (same day) move, we’ll do our best to accommodate you! Feel free to reach out, and we’ll find the best solution for your schedule.
-
Items we are not able to move? For liability and safety reasons, we are unable to move items exceeding 400 lbs, except in certain cases. We do not transport pianos. Pool tables must be fully disassembled with slates removed before we can move them. We do not offer vehicle transport services for cars, trucks, or any motorized recreational vehicles, including golf carts, dirt bikes, and riding lawnmowers. Additionally, we cannot move: Drugs or drug-related items Perishable goods Illegal or prohibited items Weapons, explosives, or flammable materials Anything that could pose a risk to our movers, truck, customers, or their belongings If you're uncertain whether an item falls under these restrictions, feel free to reach out to us.
-
Can ATS transport and connect appliances ?We can disconnect and reconnect appliances such as washers, dryers, ranges (stoves) & refrigerators. However, we are not professional plumbers, so you’ll need to sign a waiver releasing us from liability for water line or exhaust hose connections. Leaks at water connections are common after moving. We recommend checking for leaks during your first laundry cycle and ensuring your dryer hose is free of holes before installation. For front-loading washers, we strongly advise using shipping bolts to secure the drum. If you don’t have them, we may require a liability waiver. If your new dryer outlet differs from your previous one (e.g., 4-prong vs. 3-prong), we cannot change the connection but can guide you through the process or provide resources.
-
Moving items into storage unit?We frequently move items into storage and take several precautions to protect them. We wrap most furniture in moving blankets before applying shrink wrap to keep the blankets secure. However, shrink wrap alone is not recommended, especially for long-term storage, as it can trap moisture and damage wood furniture. For added protection, paper pads, inexpensive cloth pads, or even household items like sheets, towels, blankets, or comforters can be used as cost-effective options. We also provide our moving pads that you can keep for a cost of $12 per pad.
-
Is ATS Moving & Delivery Insured/Licensed ?We are fully insured in Texas, as required by state regulations. You can verify our legitimacy by entering our USDOT# 3584239 in the TxDMV Motor Carrier Database. By law, all registered moving companies provide basic valuation coverage of $0.60 per pound for lost or damaged items. For high-value items over $2,000, you may want to purchase additional insurance, which offers broader protection but is not regulated by the TxDMV. Additionally, some homeowner insurance policies may cover about 10% of your belongings in transit. We also carry general liability and worker’s compensation insurance, meeting the requirements for most residential and commercial moves/buildings.
-
How can I pay for the move? Is there a deposit required? We accept all major credit cards as well as a Zelle transfer. If you are wanting to pay in cash, let us know in advance, depending on the amount, we may not be able to accept cash. We do not require any deposit at the moment.
-
How does ATS charge? We provide estimates based on several factors, but please note that this is just an estimate, and your final cost may vary. We do have a minimum charge for each move. If the move is completed before reaching the minimum time, you will only be charged the minimum amount. However, if the move takes longer than the minimum, you'll be charged in 15-minute increments at our hourly rate.
-
What happens if the movers damage any items/property?We strive to ensure your items arrive in the same condition they left. If damage occurs due to our fault, we’ll make it right by repairing any property damage or replacing item(s). Movers typically report any damage as it happens and may offer an immediate settlement or escalate the claim to our office for follow-up. Sending clear photos from multiple angles, along with details like price. Help us determine the best solution.
-
Do my dressers, file cabinets, furniture with storage/drawers need to be emptied out?Yes. Leaving clothes inside dressers, chests is not recommended at all, the extra weight may cause for the furniture to be damaged while the movers carry, dolly the item to the truck. Please have all furniture emptied out.
